Gov Oborevwori Finally Appoints Commissioners For Justice, Information, Another

 Governor Sheriff Oborevwori has committed a Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Ekemejero Ohwovoriole, State PDP Publicity Secretary, Dr. Ifeanyi Osuoza and one-time Chairman of Bomadi Local Government, Hon Kalanama Penawou, for appointment as Commissioners and members of the State Executive Council.

The nominations are contained in a letter to the Speaker of the State Assembly, Rt. Hon Emomotimi Guwor.

Ohwovoriole (SAN) was nominated for appointment as State Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, Dr Ifeanyi Osuoza, Commissioner for Information, and Hon Penawou, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftain Affairs.

The Governor stated that the nominations, which were in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 192(2) of the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as amended, were meant to strengthen his administration’s resolve to deliver on the MORE agenda.

He solicited expedited action of the House on the screening and confirmation of the nominees to enable him effect their appointments.

Upon receiving the letter after it was read by the Speaker, the House requested each of the nominees to submit 35 copies of his Curriculum Vitae to the Clerk of the House on or before Monday next week and appear for screening on Tuesday, 30th Jan, 2024.
