The SDP governorship in the last gubernatorial election in Kogi State ,Rights activist, socialite and candidate of the Social Democratic Party, SDP in the last gubernatorial election in Kogi State, Barrister Natasha Akpoti and her heart throb, Chief Emmanuel Uduaghan, the Alema of Warri Kingdom, in Delta State are set to exchange marital vows.
The wedding which will take place at her late father’s residence in Ihima is scheduled to take place on March 5, 2022.
Akpoti is a single mother of three who contested the last Kogi Central Senatorial election on the platform of SDP in 2019 and lost the election to Senator Yakubu Oseni of APC and subsequently contested the November 16, gubernatorial election and lost to incumbent Governor Yahaya Bello of APC.
The Alema of Warri Kingdom was recently spotted with the Ohinoyi of Ebiraland, Dr. Ado Ibrahim. The royal wedding will mark the beginning of the relationship of the two kingdoms.
Akpoti has been a symbol of hope and strength to women in Kogi State and other parts of the country after she refused to be cowed by the forces who stood against her candidature in the last elections. Despite the persecution, smear campaign and physical assault she suffered in the last elections in Kogi State, she refused to back out her resolve to make an impact in the society.
Akpoti was expected to resign to her safety zone in Abuja but she has since then embarked on empowerment programmes and construction of roads in her home town and the recent construction of Oken-Ibilo Auchi road to end the suffering of commuters along the bad road.
The groom shares the same name with Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan with the former Governor of Delta State. Akpoti also some days ago received a Rolls Royce as an early-Valentine’s day gift from her bae.
She has been receiving congratulatory messages on the impending wedding and the exotic car gift from her friends on her social media handles.
She has also flaunted the multi-million naira engagement ring given to her by her husband to be.
